Closing event for the Quantum Year 2025
The United Nations has declared the year 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ). Under the motto “Quantum2025 – 100 Years are Just the Beginning…” the German Physical Society (DPG) is organizing various events across Germany during the “Quantum Year.”
On Saturday, November 15, 2025, the DPG’s closing event for the Quantum Year will take place at the Halle Münsterland – featuring lectures (including one by Prof. Markus Arndt from the University of Vienna), hands-on workshops for students, and an exhibition with prominent representatives from industry and academia (1:00 PM – 7:30 PM).
In the evening, starting at 7:30 PM, an audio-visual experience combining music and quantum physics, composed by Yannick Paget (Paris, Kyoto), with the music ensemble N’SO KYOTO in collaboration with Koji Hashimoto (Kyoto), will be performed. The performance, involving over 200 musicians, will be held in cooperation with the Münster Student Orchestra and school choirs from the Münsterland region. The evening will be hosted by Jakob Beautemps.
