Artist Talk & Session for Nuit Blanche:
Date: October 1 (Sat), 2022

Yannick Paget and Alexandre Ferdinand Maubert (Villa Kujoyama 2012) presented Dual Resonance, a choreographed audiovisual installation that took the audience on an immersive journey to explore the origins of String Theory—a concept rooted in the mysterious existence of a double reality known as Dual Resonance.

This sound and video installation featured a film directed by Alexandre Maubert and choreographed by Hidekazu Maeda. Positioned between two opposing screens, the audience experienced spatialized sound across 12 speakers, creating a fully immersive audiovisual environment.

As part of Nuit Blanche Kyoto 2022, Dual Resonance was exhibited at the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto (MoMAK) from September 23 (Fri) to October 2 (Sun), 2022, with a special talk session on October 1 (Sat), where the artists discussed the creative process and scientific inspirations behind the work.
