Sagar Patel

Real Time Visual

Sagar Patel is a creator of real-time visuals, digital interactive installations and XR experiences. 

His work focuses on multi-modal synesthesia with a particular focus on the audio-visual aspect. 

He often aims to merge the natural with the digital world in his works and often collaborates with musicians and dancers for live performances.

His artistic projects and collaborations have been featured in places like IndieCade Festival in Los Angeles (‘13), Public Works in San Francisco (‘14), Kyoto Museum of Modern Art (‘17), Kyoto Festival of Modular (‘18), Kyoto University Art Innovation Symposium (‘19), KG+ Select (‘19), Times Square (‘19) and Nuit Blanche Kyoto (‘16,’17,‘19,‘20), Goethe Institute Kyoto (‘21), Miyako Messe Kyoto (‘22), Electronic Evening at Honen-in Kyoto  (‘21,’22,’23,’24), Villa Kujoyama (‘21,’22,’24).

He is originally from Montreal, Canada and has been based in Kyoto since 2013.
