Mami Nakamura

Clarinet, Bass Clarinet

Graduated from École Normale de Musique de Paris National Conservatory of Rueil Malmaison (Clarinet) and Conservatory of Créteil (bass clarinet) where she won first prize unanimously. She was also awarded 1st prize at the UFAM International Competition in Paris. She performs in France, Italy, Africa, Tokyo International Clarinet Festival and on the NHK radio program. She founded and directs the clarinet ensemble “Mami Nakamura & Copine et Copain” and the chamber music group “Amicale”. She recorded a CD “Kamikaze” by MAMINA, a CD of bass clarinet and electronic sounds. Currently, she is teaching clarinet and bass clarinet at Osaka University of Music. She is core member of N’SO KYOTO.
